We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our Newcastle team. This role combines technical expertise in environmental systems with a passion for sustainable practices. You will work on projects that aim to improve air and water quality, manage waste, and contribute to green initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assess the environmental implications of proposed projects and suggest mitigations.
• Draft policies and guidelines for environmental management.
• Perform site visits and inspections to evaluate compliance with environmental regulations.
• Manage project budgets and timelines effectively.
• Collaborate with external agencies and consultants as needed.
• Prepare funding proposals for environmental projects.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for clients and stakeholders.
• Implement monitoring programs for ongoing environmental assessments.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of sustainability training programs.
• Review and update environmental regulations, ensuring that the company's practices align with current standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in environmental consulting or engineering
