Job Description

We are on the lookout for an Environmental Consultant to join our dedicated team in Durham. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on environmental management and sustainability strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and conducting environmental assessments.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the implementation of environmental management systems.
• Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing environmental practices.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor and report on project progress and environmental performance metrics.
• Prepare and present findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Assist clients in achieving sustainability certifications and compliance.
• Engage with local communities to promote environmental awareness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Postgraduate qualifications in Environmental Management is desirable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consultancy or related professions

• Environmental Impact Assessment

Certifications

• Lead Auditor Environmental Management Systems
• Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma

Languages

• English: Fluent
