Medical Appliance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Appliance Technician to design and produce various medical devices, including prosthetics and orthotics. The ideal candidate will collaborate with healthcare professionals and use advanced CAD software to meet patient specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fabricate components for medical devices using specialized tools.
• Inspect finished devices for quality control and functionality.
• Liaise with healthcare teams to ensure appliances meet patient requirements.
• Document all manufacturing processes and design changes accurately.
• Develop innovative solutions for improving current appliance designs.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices in appliance manufacturing.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Medical Technology or related field
• Additional certifications in relevant fields are a plus

Experience

• Experience in a clinical or manufacturing setting preferred

Technical Skills

• 3D Printing Knowledge
• Regulatory Standards Knowledge

• Team Player

Certifications

• ISO 13485 Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
