Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Animal Research Assistant to support our innovative research projects at our Basildon facility. The role involves working closely with animals, conducting experiments, and ensuring their welfare.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of research experiments involving animal subjects.
• Collect and analyse behavioural and physiological data from studies.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate effective research outcomes.
• Participate in the preparation of research presentations and publications.
• Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and animal welfare regulations.
• Facilitate communication between team members and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related discipline

Experience

• Experience in a research environment involving animal subjects preferred.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of animal welfare regulations: In-depth knowledge of local and national animal welfare regulations and standards.
• Previous experience in a research laboratory: Experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a research capacity.
