Job Description

As a Woodworking Machine Setter, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining woodworking machinery, ensuring that production processes run efficiently and safely. You will play a critical role in setting up machines for optimal performance, troubleshooting issues, and adhering to quality standards to produce high-grade wood products.

Responsibilities

  • Operate woodworking machines to produce high-quality wood products.
  • Monitor production output and make necessary adjustments to equipment settings.
  • Inspect materials before and after processing to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery as required.
  • Document production activities and report any equipment malfunctions to management.
  • Work closely with other operators and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to best practices for safety and quality control throughout tasks.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Assist in training new staff on machine operations and safety protocols.
  • Support the team in achieving production targets and deadlines.

Requirements

Education
  • No formal qualifications required. Relevant certifications in machinery operation are advantageous.
Experience
  • Prior experience operating woodworking machinery in a manufacturing environment is essential.
