Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to support our engineering team in York. This role involves assisting in the design and implementation of mechanical systems and components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be skilled in problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the engineering department to design mechanical solutions.
• Assist in prototyping and testing of new mechanical products.
• Ensure all mechanical equipment operates according to standards.
• Contribute ideas for improving manufacturing processes.
• Assist in training new staff on mechanical systems and safety protocols.

Requirements

Education

• HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical roles

• NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
