Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Elevator Examiner, where you will conduct thorough inspections, ensure safety compliance, and maintain elevator systems, contributing to public safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of elevators and escalators to diagnose potential issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for ongoing projects and major repairs.
  • Utilize software for recording inspection and maintenance data.
  • Develop comprehensive reports detailing maintenance activities and compliance.
  • Stay current with training on new inspection technologies and methodologies.
  • Conduct training sessions for junior staff on best practices for elevator maintenance.
  • Interact with clients to ensure their needs are being met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Implement safety protocols while on-site and during inspections.
  • Review past inspection records to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant professional certification in elevator inspection/maintenance
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program in the elevator industry
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working as an Elevator Examiner or similar role
Technical Skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Good understanding of safety regulations and standards
Soft Skills
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
Certifications
  • Relevant certifications in elevator safety standards
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Previous experience in supervisory or team leadership roles: Demonstrated experience leading teams in an engineering context.
  • Familiarity with elevator inspection software: Proficiency in digital tools to streamline inspection processes.
