Freezer Unloader

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking freezer unloader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for unloading frozen products from delivery trucks and ensuring they are stored in the appropriate areas. You must be comfortable working in a cold environment and able to lift heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Unload and verify frozen goods from deliveries.
• Sort and store products in the designated areas maintaining FIFO procedures.
• Regularly check storage conditions and report any issues.
• Assist in keeping the work area clear of hazards.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely deliveries.
• Document any discrepancies in shipments.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Engage in problem-solving activities related to inventory management.
• Contribute to a positive team environment.
• Other duties as required by management.

Requirements

Education

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Manual Handling Equipment

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Reliability

Certifications

• Forklift certification - Preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience operating a forklift: Ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively.
