Job Description

As a Transit Police Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe travel within London's public transportation system. You will patrol, respond to incidents, and collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to maintain security across various transport modes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols on trains, buses, and at transit stations to ensure a safe environment for all.
• Investigate any incidents of criminal behavior, ensuring thorough documentation for legal processes.
• Engage with the community to promote safety awareness and trust in the police force.
• Provide detailed reports to supervisory personnel on all activities encountered during patrols.
• Assist in the development of community safety campaigns related to public transportation.
• Attend and participate in community meetings to strengthen relationships with the public.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a police academy training program

Experience

• 3 years of experience in law enforcement or security, preferably in a transport environment

Certifications

• Certification in First Aid and CPR

Languages
