Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Freight Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Cardiff. This role involves ensuring seamless logistics operations, from managing shipment schedules to liaising with clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily freight operations ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and service providers.
• Prepare and present reports on logistics performance and shipment statuses.
• Assist in freight negotiations and contract management.
• Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and implement corrective measures.
• Train and mentor junior logistics staff.
• Ensure compliance with relevant transport regulations and standards.
• Utilize logistics software to optimize shipping and routing.
• Facilitate communication between departments to enhance workflow.
• Support the implementation of new logistics technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Logistics Management certificate is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
