Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Orthotist and Prosthetist to join our London-based healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assess, design, and fit prosthetic limbs for patients, providing ongoing support and maintenance. This role combines technical skills with patient care, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on patients' lives.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions to develop personalised treatment plans.
• Fabricate and fit prosthetic devices, ensuring comfort and functionality.
• Document the progression of patient recovery and adjust devices as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Train patients in the effective use of their prosthetic devices.
• Participate in continuous education and training programs.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics or related discipline

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years in the field of prosthetic fitting and design.

Technical Skills

• 3D Modelling Software
• Orthotic Tools and Equipment

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Detail Orientation

Certifications

• Registered with the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience Working with Amputee Patients: Hands-on experience in helping amputees with their rehabilitation journey.
• Proficiency in Advanced 3D Printing Techniques: Utilisation of 3D printing in creating personalized prosthetics.
