Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Wildlife Conservationist to join our dedicated team in Basingstoke. This role involves fieldwork to monitor wildlife populations, develop conservation strategies, and engage in community outreach programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and a commitment to wildlife preservation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor local wildlife populations and assess their health.
  • Design and lead community outreach programs related to conservation.
  • Utilise scientific methods to collect biological data.
  • Work alongside volunteers and interns for fieldwork activities.
  • Report findings at conservation meetings and assist in grant writing.
  • Facilitate workshops for local schools and communities on wildlife protection.
  • Maintain accurate records of fieldwork and conservation efforts.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Wildlife Biology, or related field
  • Master's degree is an asset
Experience
  • 5+ years working in conservation or ecological field studies
