Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Appliance Technician to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for crafting and repairing precision instruments used in medical procedures. Your expertise will ensure high-quality standards and efficiency in instrument manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture, assemble, and repair medical or surgical instruments according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Operate machinery and tools to shape, cut, and finish instrument parts.
  • Inspect and test instruments for functionality, accuracy, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop new instruments and improve existing ones.
  • Maintain inventory of materials and supplies necessary for instrument production.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Document instrument manufacturing processes and update technical documentation as needed.
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines and quality control procedures.
  • Train and mentor junior instrument makers.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and new techniques in instrument making.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Formal training or apprenticeship in instrument making or related field
  • Additional certification in medical instrument making is highly desirable
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical or Surgical Instrument Maker
