Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Derby. This role involves designing, developing, and testing new mechanical systems and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering principles and experience with CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept through production.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies for mitigation.
• Provide technical guidance on mechanical systems during production.
• Collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Stay updated with technological advancements and industry trends.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles

• Prototyping

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
