Job Description

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting classroom activities and enhancing student engagement. Your responsibilities will include assisting teachers with lesson preparation and providing individualised support to students to help them thrive in their educational journey.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside teachers to facilitate classroom activities.
  • Aid in the preparation of instructional materials and resources.
  • Encourage and support individual student learning and development.
  • Monitor student progress and behaviour during classroom activities.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to stay updated with education strategies.
  • Assist with assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Engage with parents and guardians regarding student progress when required.
  • Support a diverse range of student needs, including those with additional learning requirements.
  • Help in the management of classroom resources and equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational outcomes for all students.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Qualification in childcare or education is an asset
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a teaching support role is desirable.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of child development stages
