Job Description

Seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Technician to oversee health and safety compliance on-site. The successful candidate will conduct regular inspections, develop safety policies, and provide training to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments for new projects and report findings.
  • Facilitate safety meetings and promote an open dialogue about safety concerns.
  • Work with external agencies to ensure site safety compliance.
  • Provide guidance on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in emergency preparedness planning and drills.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in a relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects is a plus.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in safety equipment usage
Soft Skills
  • Problem-solving
Certifications
  • Safety audit experience is preferred.
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM): Familiarity with BIM tools for enhanced project planning.
