Job Description

As a School Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing essential support and guidance to students, helping them to achieve their educational and psychological goals. You will collaborate closely with educational personnel and caregivers to identify and address students' needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform psychological evaluations to identify learning and emotional difficulties among students.
  • Design and execute individual and group therapies to support mental health.
  • Work alongside school staff to support students with special educational needs.
  • Lead workshops for teachers and parents on student mental health and effective interventions.
  • Create educational resources to raise awareness about mental health issues.
  • Participate in school committees focused on student welfare and safety.
  • Assist in the development of school policies related to mental health.
  • Provide training for staff on recognizing mental health challenges in students.
  • Support the integration of students with special needs into mainstream classes.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your practice.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Qualified psychologist registered with HCPC
Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years working in educational or child psychology.
