Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Broadcast Manager to oversee our broadcasting operations in Rotherham. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of broadcasting technologies and processes and lead a dedicated team to ensure the highest quality of transmissions.

Responsibilities

  • Create innovative broadcasting plans that attract and retain viewers.
  • Handle daily operations of the broadcasting department, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies for production and transmission.
  • Ensure all broadcasts meet technical standards and are delivered on time.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote broadcasts effectively.
  • Analyze audience ratings and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Manage crisis situations effectively and implement solutions.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to stay updated on broadcasting trends.
  • Develop risk management strategies related to broadcasting operations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Media Production, or similar
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 6+ years of experience in a broadcasting role, preferably management level
