Materials Planner

Job Description

As a Materials Planner at Tech Innovations Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials across our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for planning and managing material requirements, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery to meet production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage material forecasts to support production schedules.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to improve material procurement processes.
• Utilize inventory management software to track and report on material usage.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards for materials.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to materials planning and procurement.
• Facilitate problem-solving discussions relating to material issues with stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
• Certification in Materials Management (e.g., CPIM) is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in materials planning or supply chain management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles: Knowledge of lean principles to improve efficiency in material usage.
