Job Description

As a Wildlife Field Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting our conservation efforts in Basingstoke. Your responsibilities will include conducting field surveys, monitoring wildlife populations, and engaging with local communities to promote awareness of environmental issues.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement wildlife monitoring programs.
  • Facilitate workshops and educational outreach in schools and community groups.
  • Compile data for internal and external reports on conservation status.
  • Assist in the restoration of habitats and ecosystems.
  • Act as a liaison between the organisation and local conservation groups.
  • Support the efforts of volunteers during field activities.
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare standards and guidelines.
  • Identify key conservation issues and propose solutions.
  • Take part in conferences and training to enhance conservation knowledge.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification is an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant field experience
