Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Railroad Brake Repairer to join our team. As a Brake Repairer, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing brakes on railroad cars. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring operational safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and evaluate the condition of railroad brake systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components.
  • Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of faulty brake components.
  • Document maintenance activities and keep precise records of work performed.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulations relevant to the rail industry.
  • Assist in training new technicians on brake repair and safety procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training in mechanical engineering preferred
Experience
  • Prior experience in brake repair or a related field is advantageous.
