Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Lobster Catcher to join our team. You will be responsible for catching lobsters in various marine environments, ensuring compliance with fishing regulations and sustainability practices. The ideal candidate should possess excellent fishing skills and be able to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Safely catch lobsters while following best practices.
  • Ensure all caught lobsters meet size and species regulations.
  • Log and report catch statistics daily.
  • Work with fellow fishers to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Manage equipment and vessel maintenance tasks.
  • Stay informed about changing fishing laws and protocols.
  • Monitor environmental conditions to safeguard safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area on the boat.
  • Assist in training new team members as needed.

Requirements

Experience
  • Experience in operating and maintaining fishing vessels is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of local fishing grounds
