Job Description

As a Boxing Inspector, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and fairness of boxing matches. Your responsibilities will include monitoring compliance with the rules, conducting pre-fight inspections, and addressing any rule violations during events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the enforcement of boxing regulations during events.
• Ensure equipment meets safety standards through pre-fight checks.
• Document incidents and rule violations clearly and accurately.
• Collaborate with a team of inspectors to ensure effective oversight.
• Attend relevant meetings to discuss regulatory updates and operational improvements.
• Engage with fighters and trainers to clarify rules and address concerns.
• Review match footage when necessary to ensure fair adjudication.
• Participate in professional development opportunities related to combat sports.
• Assist in organizing and executing regulatory inspections and assessments.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders, including local boxing clubs and organizations.

Requirements

Education

• Additional training in boxing rules and regulations (advantageous)

Experience

• Experience in another combat sport as an official is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in boxing scoring software
• Knowledge of emergency procedures

Soft Skills

• Good Decision-Making
• Ability to Remain Calm Under Pressure

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of local and international boxing organizations: Understanding of the regulations from various governing bodies can be beneficial.
