Job Description

We are seeking an Adaptive Physical Education Specialist who will be responsible for developing tailored physical education programs for students with disabilities. This role involves adapting activities to meet the individual needs of students, promoting inclusion and encouraging participation in physical education.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver adaptive physical education programs tailored to individual students' abilities and needs.
  • Implement modifications to traditional physical education activities for students with disabilities.
  • Assess students' physical capabilities and develop personalised physical education plans.
  • Provide instruction in various physical activities, ensuring safety and proper techniques.
  • Collaborate with educators and professionals to create integrated educational plans.
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress while adjusting physical education plans as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders concerning physical education goals and progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to students' physical education.
  • Stay informed about current research and trends in adaptive physical education.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and policies regarding inclusive physical education.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Adaptive Physical Education or a related field
  • Recognized certification in Adaptive Physical Education
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in adaptive physical education or relevant field
