Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Southend-on-Sea. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals facing mental health challenges, helping them achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate client needs and support requirements.
  • Provide guidance on coping strategies and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
  • Foster a community atmosphere among clients through group interactions.
  • Document and communicate client progress with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Engage with families to provide support and education on mental health issues.
  • Participate in training and workshops to enhance service delivery.
  • Assist in the development and review of care policies and procedures.
  • Support clients in accessing additional services and resources as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Training in Mental Health and Wellbeing is preferred
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in mental health support is desirable
