Job Description

As a Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselor, you will play a crucial role in guiding individuals through their recovery journeys. Your expertise will help develop treatment plans, conduct therapy sessions, and provide ongoing support to clients dealing with various substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead therapeutic sessions to address substance use and behavioral disorders.
  • Evaluate and monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies to meet evolving needs.
  • Educate clients and their families about addiction and recovery processes.
  • Develop and implement relapse prevention plans tailored to individual clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention services when necessary.
  • Maintain adherence to confidentiality and ethical guidelines in all client interactions.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss cases and improve service delivery.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Master's degree or relevant certifications are preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in substance abuse counseling or related field
