Job Description

The Isotope Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic scans using radioactive tracers to help diagnose and treat medical conditions. This role involves working with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure accurate delivery of services.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
  • Conduct patient assessments before procedures.
  • Provide support to physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic processes.
  • Follow strict radiation safety protocols.
  • Educate patients about procedures and answer queries.
  • Participate in departmental meetings to improve practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Imaging or related field
  • Certification or licensure in nuclear medicine technology
Experience
  • Experience with diagnostic imaging and radiation safety procedures.
Technical Skills
  • Imaging equipment operation
Soft Skills
  • Detail-oriented

Advantageous

  • Master's degree in Medical Imaging or related field: A higher qualification in a relevant field will be an advantage.
  • Experience with cardiac imaging: Familiarity with radionuclide therapy and cardiac procedures.
