Job Description

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Cattle Killer to join our team. Your primary role will involve ensuring efficient and humane slaughtering practices in line with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct humane slaughtering of cattle, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Handle and operate slaughtering tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain an organised and hygienic workspace in line with health and safety protocols.
  • Assist in the training of new team members on slaughtering procedures.
  • Monitor and report on health and welfare of animals prior to slaughter.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth workflow during peak times.
  • Adhere to all relevant animal welfare practices and guidelines.
  • Continuously seek improvements in operational efficiency and animal welfare.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • No formal qualifications required, but experience in livestock handling or meat processing is preferred.
Experience
  • Prior experience in a similar role highly desirable.
