Job Description

As a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), you will provide essential respiratory care to patients suffering from breathing difficulties or disorders. This role involves working within various healthcare settings, such as hospitals and clinics, where you will evaluate patient conditions and ensure they receive appropriate treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients with respiratory issues.
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in various settings, including critical care.
  • Manage ventilator settings and patient weaning protocols.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical protocols.
  • Educate and train junior staff in respiratory care best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all procedures.
  • Participate in patient rounds with the healthcare team to optimise treatment plans.
  • Document all care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide support during emergency situations involving respiratory issues.
  • Engage in continuous monitoring and evaluation of patient care outcomes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field
  • Master's degree is an advantage
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy
