Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our dynamic team in Manchester. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing insurance applications and determining risk levels. You will analyse data, evaluate claims, and make recommendations to ensure accurate underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk and make underwriting decisions for various insurance lines.
• Collaborate with the underwriting team and other departments for policy development.
• Conduct market research to inform pricing strategies.
• Participate in external audits and compliance reviews.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or Finance
• ACII or equivalent certification preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in insurance underwriting

• Insurance Knowledge

Certifications

• Fellowship of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
