Job Description

As a Community Service Officer (CSO), you will play a vital role in supporting community initiatives. You will engage with local residents and stakeholders to identify needs, promote public welfare, and enhance the overall quality of life in Birmingham.

Responsibilities

  • Identify key community issues and develop tailored programs.
  • Foster partnerships with local organizations to enhance service delivery.
  • Conduct regular outreach to engage community stakeholders.
  • Evaluate program success and recommend adaptations for improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on community initiatives to diverse audiences.
  • Assist in grant writing and fundraising efforts for community programs.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement to promote community safety.
  • Facilitate community meetings to provide updates and gather feedback.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Social Work or Community Development, preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in community service roles
