Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Nurse to join our team in Luton. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, assessing their mental health needs, and developing appropriate care plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing and a commitment to enhancing the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patient needs and conduct psychosocial assessments.
  • Provide crisis intervention and management.
  • Collaborate with community outreach programs to support patient reintegration.
  • Engage in reflective practice and contribute to team dynamics.
  • Develop and facilitate mental health education programs.
  • Promote a therapeutic environment conducive to recovery.
  • Utilise evidence-based practices in patient care.
  • Assist in the training of nursing students and interns.
  • Contribute to research initiatives within the mental health field.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute ideas for service improvement.

Requirements

Education
  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
  • Master's degree in Mental Health Nursing is a plus
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in mental health settings
