Fiber Optics Technician

Job Description

As a Fiber Optics Technician, you will play a key role in our operations. You will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic systems, ensuring high-speed connectivity for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure fiber optic systems, including cables, connectors, and related equipment.
• Perform regular maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal network performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or outages within the fiber optic network.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to schedule installations and repairs.
• Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and maintenance schedules.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid certifications in fiber optics installation and maintenance

Experience

• Prior experience in fiber optic installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Technical Skills

• Fiber Optic Splicing
• Testing Equipment
• Technical Documentation

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with advanced networking technologies: Knowledge of IP networking principles and practices.
• Experience using Fusion Splicing Machines: Hands-on experience with industry-standard splicing equipment.
