Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Tin Cutter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting and shaping sheets of metal into specific sizes and shapes using various hand and power tools. Attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to shape, punch, and cut metal as per specifications.
• Double-check measurements against blueprints before cutting.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards before dispatch.
• Participate in routine maintenance of cutting machines.
• Collaborate with quality control inspectors to resolve defects.
• Document production output accurately for reporting purposes.

Requirements

Education

• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
• Relevant vocational qualifications are advantageous

Experience

• No previous experience required; training will be provided.

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Basic understanding of CAD software

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in metalworking or a related field: Familiarity with production processes will be beneficial.
• Ability to operate other metalworking equipment: Experience with lathes and grinders is an asset.
