Job Description

As a Claims Adjuster at our company, you will play a critical role in investigating claims and assessing damages. You will be responsible for determining the validity of insurance claims while ensuring that claimants receive the appropriate settlements. This position calls for strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Review and assess claims submitted by policyholders.
  • Conduct interviews with claimants to gather pertinent information.
  • Evaluate the extent of damages and liaise with repair professionals.
  • Prepare and present reports to management regarding claim status.
  • Assist in training junior adjusters within the claims department.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients throughout the claims process.
  • Identify potential fraud and escalate findings to the appropriate department.
  • Provide post-claim support and advice to policyholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business, or related field
  • Professional designation such as Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Associate in Claims (AIC) is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance claims adjusting
Technical Skills
  • Claim handling software (e.g., Xactimate, ClaimCenter)
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Certifications
  • Valid insurance adjuster license
