Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Career/Technical Education Teacher to inspire and educate students in the Building Trades. The successful candidate will develop engaging lesson plans, deliver hands-on training, and ensure a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design curriculum and course materials for building trades education.
  • Deliver lessons using a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Assess student projects and provide timely feedback to maximise learning outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
  • Organise field trips to local construction sites to provide real-world insights.
  • Network with industry professionals to secure guest speakers and resources for students.
  • Participate in educational committees and contribute to school events.
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement and success.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Education or relevant technical field
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the building trades or teaching is preferred
