Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Career/Technical Education Teacher to inspire and educate students in the Building Trades. The successful candidate will develop engaging lesson plans, deliver hands-on training, and ensure a safe learning environment.
Responsibilities
Design curriculum and course materials for building trades education.
Deliver lessons using a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
Assess student projects and provide timely feedback to maximise learning outcomes.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
Organise field trips to local construction sites to provide real-world insights.
Network with industry professionals to secure guest speakers and resources for students.
Participate in educational committees and contribute to school events.
Create an inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement and success.
Requirements
Education
Degree in Education or relevant technical field
PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in the building trades or teaching is preferred
