Job Description

As a School Bus Driver, you will play a critical role in transporting children safely to and from school. Your responsibilities will include adhering to scheduled routes, ensuring student safety, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Drive the bus safely and efficiently, ensuring punctuality.
• Monitor student behaviour and manage any conflicts that may arise.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure bus safety.
• Provide assistance to children with special needs when necessary.
• Engage with parents and guardians about student transportation concerns.
• Adhere to schedules and help maintain optimal routes.
• Attend safety meetings and training sessions as required.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports of bus activity.
• Establish a rapport with students to create a friendly atmosphere.
• Ensure all passengers are securely seated while the bus is in motion.

Requirements

Education

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience as a bus driver is preferred, but not essential.

Technical Skills

• Valid UK driving license (Category D)
• Excellent driving skills

Soft Skills

• Communication

Certifications

• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Road Passenger Transport

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in a customer service role: Experience handling customer queries and complaints.
• Additional driving qualifications, such as a PCV license: Certifications that enhance driving qualifications.
