Art Curator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Art Curator to oversee our exhibitions and programming at Artistry Gallery. The successful candidate will be responsible for art collection management, curating exhibitions, and building relationships with artists, collectors, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement exhibition concepts and themes.
• Organize logistics for installation and deinstallation of artworks.
• Collaborate with marketing for promotional material.
• Supervise artwork handling and conservation processes.
• Engage with the public through tours and educational programs.
• Initiate and curate community art projects.
• Maintain accurate records of collections and exhibitions.
• Implement strategies for audience engagement and outreach.
• Conduct post-exhibition evaluations to inform future programming.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a gallery or museum setting

Technical Skills

• Budget Management
• Event Coordination

Certifications

• Société des Amis de la Muséologie

Languages

• English: Fluent
• French: Intermediate
