Job Description
The Museum Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the museum. This includes managing staff, developing programs and exhibitions, and ensuring a high standard of visitor experience.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of museum operations, including staffing and budgeting.
Create and implement engaging exhibitions and educational programs.
Develop partnerships with local art and culture organizations.
Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors.
Monitor attendance and engagement metrics to inform strategy.
Represent the museum at community events and meetings.
Lead fundraising efforts to support operational goals.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Arts Management, History, or a related field
Master's degree preferred in a relevant discipline
Experience
5+ years in a leadership role within a museum or cultural institution
