Job Description

The Museum Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the museum. This includes managing staff, developing programs and exhibitions, and ensuring a high standard of visitor experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of museum operations, including staffing and budgeting.
  • Create and implement engaging exhibitions and educational programs.
  • Develop partnerships with local art and culture organizations.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors.
  • Monitor attendance and engagement metrics to inform strategy.
  • Represent the museum at community events and meetings.
  • Lead fundraising efforts to support operational goals.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts Management, History, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred in a relevant discipline

  • 5+ years in a leadership role within a museum or cultural institution
