Electrical Power-Line Installer and Repairer

Job Description

The Electrical Power-Line Installer and Repairer will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and dismantling of communication and broadcast towers across the UK. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work at height.

Responsibilities

• Operating various hand tools and power tools required for tower assembly and maintenance.
• Conducting site inspections and safety assessments before project initiation.
• Documenting all installation and maintenance activities accurately.
• Adhering to industry standards and legal regulations regarding safety.
• Assisting in the setup and dismantling of equipment as necessary.
• Collaborating closely with site managers to ensure projects run smoothly.
• Providing feedback on operational efficiency and proposing improvements.
• Ensuring timely completion of tasks in compliance with project schedules.

Requirements

Education

• Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Tower Rigging

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in tower erection or related fields.

Certifications

• IRATA or PASMA certification
• First Aid at Work certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in welding and metal fabrication: Understanding of welding techniques and metal structural integrity.
• Experience with installation of renewable energy systems: Familiarity with solar panels and wind turbine installations.
