Job Description

As an Animal Welfare Specialist at Animal Care Trust, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and welfare of animals in our community. You will engage with pet owners, conduct assessments, and develop care plans to improve animal wellbeing. The ideal candidate should have a passion for animal welfare, strong analytical skills, and experience in animal care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular welfare checks and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Assist in the development of educational materials related to animal care.
  • Engage in community outreach to enhance awareness of animal welfare issues.
  • Work with local authorities on animal-related cases.
  • Compile reports on animal welfare statistics for management review.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field
  • Additional qualifications in animal behaviour are beneficial
Experience
  • Experience working in animal rescue or advocacy roles is an advantage
