Instrument Mechanics Supervisor

Job Description

This role is for an Instrument Mechanics Supervisor who will lead a skilled team of instrument mechanics in ensuring optimal performance of instrumentation systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, developing preventive maintenance schedules, and training junior mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the instrument maintenance department.
• Ensure proper training of the team in the latest maintenance practices and safety protocols.
• Foster a culture of safety and respect among team members.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules to optimise workflow and efficiency.
• Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing education programs for the team.
• Work with suppliers to source materials and obtain best value for services.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work and team performance metrics.

Requirements

Education

• HND or equivalent qualification in Instrumentation
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance environment
