Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Engine Turner to join our team. As an Engine Turner, you will be responsible for creating decorative patterns and finishes on various metal surfaces using specialized turning tools and machinery. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of turning techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize specialised turning tools to create unique designs and finishes on metal surfaces.
  • Interpret complex technical drawings and specifications with precision.
  • Ensure the machinery operates smoothly, performing preventative maintenance as necessary.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and uniformity, making adjustments as needed.
  • Work closely with the design team to achieve desired outcomes for custom jobs.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Document all work processes and completed jobs for records.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.

Requirements

Education
  • Apprenticeship or vocational training in engine turning or a related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engine turning or a similar role.
