Claims Staff Appraiser

Job Description

The Claims Staff Appraiser plays a critical role in evaluating and appraising vehicles and property damage to establish the legitimacy of insurance claims. This position combines analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate damages on-site to substantiate claims accurately.
• Collaborate with the claims processing team to streamline workflows.
• Provide exceptional customer service to claimants throughout the appraisal process.
• Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information judiciously.
• Prepare detailed reports capturing all aspects of the appraisal process.
• Conduct follow-up inspections when necessary to finalize claims.
• Assist in identifying process improvements within the claims department.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in vehicle or property damage appraisal or related field

Certifications
