Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sand Drier to join our team in Manchester. The Sand Drier will be responsible for operating and maintaining sand drying equipment, ensuring efficient and safe drying processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong emphasis on quality control and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate all sand drying machinery.
• Adjust process parameters based on quality control measures.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and report any issues.
• Adhere to strict environmental and health regulations.
• Ensure detailed documentation of drying cycles.
• Assist in training new employees on equipment operation.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure standards are met.
• Participate in cross-department meetings to improve processes.
• Report on production output and quality metrics.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment.

Requirements

Education

• Secondary education or equivalent
• Technical qualifications in machinery operation preferred

Experience

• Experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred

Technical Skills

• Problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience in the construction industry: Knowledge of construction materials and processes is advantageous.
• Understanding of quality control methodologies: Familiarity with quality assurance practices in a manufacturing setting.
