Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have experience in monitoring security systems, analyzing threats, and implementing security measures to safeguard sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security protocols for new IT projects.
• Perform regular system health checks and security assessments.
• Engage in continuous improvement of security practices based on evolving threats.
• Review logs and alerts for anomalies and respond appropriately.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff to increase cybersecurity awareness.
• Document security incidents and trends for reporting.
• Coordinate response actions with IT and external cybersecurity teams.
• Serve as a point of contact for security-related inquiries.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related area
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity roles

• Firewall Configuration
• Threat Analysis

Certifications

• CISM
• CISSP

Languages

• English: Fluent
