Job Description
We are on the lookout for a skilled Government Relations Officer to represent our organisation in London. The ideal candidate will engage with governmental bodies, shape public policy, and reinforce our advocacy efforts. You will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders and influencing decisions that align with our organisational goals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Engage with local, national, and regional government stakeholders to advocate for policy initiatives.
  • Draft and present position papers on relevant legislative issues.
  • Conduct research and analysis on public policy trends and developments.
  • Facilitate communication between the organisation and government agencies.
  • Track legislation and regulatory changes affecting the organisation's interests.
  • Develop strategies for engaging policymakers and stakeholders effectively.
  • Support the development and execution of our advocacy campaigns.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on public affairs activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of testimonies and statements for legislative hearings.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with non-profit organisations and coalitions.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Public Policy Analysis Ability to analyse and interpret public policy issues critically.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Proven track record of establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
  • Effective Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Negotiation Strong negotiation and diplomacy skills to influence decision-making.
  • English (Fluent)

  • Previous work in a non-profit sector: Experience in advocacy for non-profit organisations.
