Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our dedicated engineering team in Manchester. The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting on complex machinery.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programmes.
• Document all repairs and maintenance tasks in detail.
• Work on continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers for parts and equipment.
• Train apprentices in best practices of mechanical work.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss project progress.

Requirements

Education

• HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Relevant vocational training is beneficial

Experience

• A minimum of 3 years in a similar mechanical role

Technical Skills

• Electrical Systems Knowledge
• Maintenance Scheduling

• Time Management

Certifications

• First Aid Certification
• Forklift Operator License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Quality Control Processes: Knowledge in maintaining quality standards throughout mechanical processes.
