Job Description

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients through their mental health challenges. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and providing therapeutic support in a variety of settings. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, delivering compassionate care and promoting mental well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patients experiencing acute mental health crises.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients.
  • Conduct follow-up consultations to assess treatment efficacy.
  • Offer advice and resources for patients and their families.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Educate patients about mental health and wellness.
  • Assist with administrative duties as needed.
  • Support colleagues in providing high-quality care.
  • Develop rapport with patients to foster trust.
  • Participate in research initiatives if applicable.

Requirements

Education
  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
  • Additional mental health training or certification is advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years in a mental health setting
