Job Description

As a Monotype Mechanic, you will be tasked with the maintenance and repair of monotype printing machines, ensuring they are always in working order. The successful candidate will bring a keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of machinery to identify wear or damage.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Maintain tools and equipment for effective performance.
• Prepare reports on machine performance and repairs.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Technical certification in mechanical engineering preferred

Experience

• Experience in typesetting or related machinery advantageous

Technical Skills

• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Knowledge of safety protocols

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Flexibility

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Supervisory experience: Experience in leading a small team of mechanics.
